ZY Consulting www.zyconsulting.co.uk was founded by Zen Yaworsky, a retail supply chain professional who has worked for over thirty years in every aspect of the supply chain from production through to retail.  As Head of Supply Chain with Marks & Spencer PLC in the UK he led the business model change that saw sourcing move from suppliers in the UK to direct purchasing from factories around the world.   His assignments have involved the development of sourcing risk assessments and mitigations on an international level for executive boards, the leadership of major contracts for freight and overseas operations to the development of major vendor management programmes.  He is particularly skilled at ensuring that organisations work in an aligned fashion, supporting the different stakeholder groups to work together effectively to release supply chain value. Zen has broad experience of leading large organisations through complex change. Recently he set up The Supply Chain Academy where he focused on the development of supply chain capability for audiences of senior leaders in retail, wholesale and manufacturing. He is an experienced negotiator, a skilled communicator and is committed to the delivery of enduring bottom line benefit and customer value. Zen is a visiting lecturer at Westminster University and regularly asked to speak at major conferences in the UK and Europe on the subject of the supply chain, its critical role in ensuring business success and its rapidly changing character.
