Locus Robotics announces multiple partnerships

Company announces strategic partnerships with JDA Software, Manhattan Associates and RightHand Robotics

Locus Robotics has been expanding its reseller network through partnerships with Manhattan Associates and JDA Software, and has taken up a strategic partnership with RightHand Robotics to build out new cross-platform robotics solutions for warehouse fulfillment operators.

The RightHand Robotics deal combines Locus's autonomous multi-robot model for piece handling with RHR's autonomous work cell to provide greater automation, addressing multiple fulfillment processes, from picking to packing, with a focus on high-volume environments in the retail and third-party logistics (3PL) space.

"We are excited to partner with RightHand Robotics, a recognized leader in performance and efficiency-driving piece-picking solutions," said Rick Faulk, CEO of Locus Robotics. "Our companies share a vision of delivering innovative, industry-leading technology solutions that drive productivity for our customers. By working together, we can bring greater flexibility and productivity to the fulfillment warehouse. This is particularly impactful in high-volume scenarios, where automation can drive greater operational efficiencies."

Its partnership with JDA is with the latter as a reseller. Through the partnership, JDA will promote and sell Locus's multi-bot solution, largely as a subscription service to Locus Robotics' solutions.

Locus says that the partnership will facilitate and accelerate adoption of the warehouse technology solutions offered by both companies, providing Locus and JDA customers and facilitate integrations between the two.

"JDA has a proven track record of identifying and utilizing the industry's most advanced technology solutions to enable leading retail and third-party logistics companies to tackle challenges in their supply chain head-on," said Faulk. "We are excited to be working together and look forward to leveraging JDA's powerful platform to fast-track new customer onboarding, while also driving greater operational efficiency, productivity, and accuracy for joint customers."

It has also announced a strategic integration partnership with Manhattan Associates  (www.manh.com), a supply chain and omnichannel solutions provider. They will develop integration tools to improve the speed of implementations for shared retail and third-party logistics (3PL) customers. The partnership also makes Manhattan a licensed reseller of Locus's robot solution for warehouse fulfillment.
