Another 3PL CEO leaves; Supply chain big data; UTi and Agility results

I have just returned back home from Lisbon where I had a great time delivering the keynote presentation at Portugal’s biggest supply chain event; next stop is Toronto in May for the ‘Supply Chain Canada’ annual event of the 2 major Canadian industry associations SCL/CITA…if you are attending then let me know.

The biggest news this week is the continuing merry-go-round of Logistics executives with the news that Monika Ribar, CEO of Panalpina is stepping down to be replaced by Peter Ulber, previously of K&N. I first met Monika in Las Vegas in 2000 when she was CIO of Panalpina, and have enjoyed watching her career progress these last 13 years and meeting her regularly at our European 3PL Summit. It will be interesting to see how Panalpina and K&N develop these next few years.

I would also recommend you take a listen to Lora Cecere’s recent webinar on Supply Chain Big Data, it is well worth 10 minutes of your time.

Regards,

Chris Saynor
CEO, eyefortransport
