Supply Chain & Logistics Experts to Lead Exclusive Workshops at the 3PL Summit & CSCO Forum

5 interactive workshops hosted by Teradata, Cloud Logistics, Charter Brokerage, Kronos and AFMS are scheduled to take place at the 14th Annual 3PL Summit & CSCO Forum.

CHICAGO (June 6th 2016) Teradata, Cloud Logistics, AFMS, Kronos and Charter Brokerage are set to address cross-industry logistics and supply chain challenges in 5 exclusive workshops at the 3PL Summit & CSCO Forum in Chicago on June 21st 2016.

A major component in Amazon’s continued success in supply chain and logistics can be directly attributed to their mastery of analytics for customer service. In this exclusive workshop led by Teradata, a leading provider of enterprise big data analytics, workshop leader and Practice Director – IOT Steve Matthews, will explore what executives can learn from Jeff Bezos and how to use IoT to deliver transformational growth and business results in the real world.  Attendees will come away with key facts on how to use sensor driven analytics to provide first-class customer service and how to re-engineer commercial models to maximize profitability through operations visibility. According to Matthews: “Amazon recognized that as a digital business, the only way they could understand their customers’ behavior was to become expert at deep analysis of web traffic data. They didn’t stop there, but turned that analytic expertize to the optimization of everything about their business to become a logistics powerhouse. The reason there is such excitement around IoT is that it offers businesses who operate in the physical world a similar opportunity to radically change and improve their profitability – if they can execute on the Analytics of Things.”

Cloud Logistics are teaming up with their customer Spirit Aerosytems and JBF Consulting to reveal how shippers can save up to 10% on their freight costs.  In this case-study based workshop they will examine the ‘Three Rapids of Transportation Management’ – deployment, on-boarding and collaboration. “There has never been a more inspiring time in logistics technology than now,” said Ken Evans, Chief Logistics Officer of Spirit Aerosystems. “The convergence and emergence of cloud technologies, mobile device proliferation and socially-driven business models, such as Uber, have the potential to create a step-change in the transportation industry. I’m excited to participate in a panel with innovators such as Cloud Logistics to discuss such compelling opportunities.”

In analyzing why an organization wins, retains and loses customers, cost and customer satisfaction typically are at the top of list. For over 50 years, companies have invested in and nearly perfected their supply chain processes and technologies, yet labor, accounting for 50% of operating costs, has been barely addressed. Kronos’ seminar will reveal some of the “not so well known” areas that can help drive significant cost reductions in operations.

Participants joining AFMS’ informative discussion group will gain valuable information to negotiate best-in-class pricing and a new perspective on how to mediate with carriers to lower shipping costs. Former UPS and FedEx pricing Managers and VPs will reveal the inside secrets to reduce the impact of accessorial charges and other not so obvious contract fees.

Charter Brokerage, a noted global trade services company, will help attendees navigate the complex duty drawback roadmap.  They will provide a full rundown on the latest HR 644 legislation and how companies can recover money back to their bottom line.
