‘Despite a recovering economy, growth in the logistics space is still a challenge’ said Chris Saynor, CEO of eft. ‘ Logistics providers are having to use innovation methods to drive growth in their organizations, including rethinking their approach to partnerships with customers.’

The webinar explored the relationship between GENCO and customer Dell to understand how rethinking partnerships along the lines of the vested model have helped both parties share risk and profits. Kate Vitasek, Faculty from University of Tennessee, walked webinar attendees through the background of the Dell – GENCO partnership, explaining the theory, benefits and process of achieving such a relationship.

The webinar then explored the changing nature of logistics management, and the key areas within that have been driving leadership in the logistics space as defined by Gartner’s 3PL Magic Quadrant. Greg Aimi led attendees through the Gartner Magic Quadrant research process, outlining how 3PLs are assessed and ranked, including the ways logistics providers are changing their business model to accommodate customers.

Kate Vitasek and Greg Aimi will be expanding substantially on these presentations at the upcoming 3PL Summit, June 11-13th in Chicago. Kate will also be leading a workshop on 3PL Contracting that will explore vested partnerships in great detail.

Herb Shear, Executive Chairman of GENCO and Mike Dundas, Executive Director, Global Operations Planning & Inventory Control at Dell will also be speaking at the upcoming event.
