Jabil Venray achieves Safest Warehouse of the Netherlands 2013/2014

Inspired by the drive for continuous improvement, Jabil Venray embarked on a journey to become the safest warehouse in the Netherlands.
Safest Warehouse project
In cooperation with the winner of last years award, Philips Lighting Eindhoven, and supplier Motrac Linde they have looked at all aspects of safety. The goal of the project was to ensure that every employee and customer who visited the Jabil facility felt that they were in a safe working environment. Training is a vital component for the ultimate success of these initiatives and how employees handle equipment and materials.
Exemplary Warehouse
The jury defined Jabil as the following; "Jabil can be certainly seen as an example warehouse and is therefore the rightful winner of the award Safest Warehouse of Netherlands. To become this true winner, they increased security in various ways. Improvements included updated camera systems, wheel chock procedures, marked driving lanes and footpaths, additional mirrors on trucks, blue spot enhancements, code of conduct boards and a self-designed battery exchanging system to improve ergonomics and efficiency".
