eyefortransport Weekly Newsletter 5th December 2013

JF Hillebrand Acquires Satellite Logistics Group; EU 3PL & CSCO Video Highlights; New Column from Mark Millar

This week the eft team has taken over the newsletter as Chris is celebrating his daughter's birthday! We would like to highlight one of the things that's been keeping him up at night. Read his Scoop.it! to see what we mean: ‘What are the odds that by 2020 the two biggest logistics providers in the world are Amazon and Google?” Keep an eye out, he will be writing more for our website in the future!

We also have a column from Mark Millar in which he examines how the container shipping industry has a lack of cargo for capacity, the financial issues and consequences of this problem, but also “How The Intra Asia Trade Offers Some Rays of Sunshine Amongst Stormy Waters”; finalising with a comprehensive explanation of how “We truly are in the Asia Era!”

Thirdly, registration for the North American 3PL Summit & CSCO Forum is open and as such we are looking for your opinions on outsourced logistics in this survey! Furthermore, if you missed our recent European version of the show you can see all of the video highlights here

Lastly, in industry news, JF Hillebrand has acquired the Satellite Logistics group, and Wincanton has been chosen as the UK supply chain provider for Willians-Sonoma, Inc.
