eft Weekly Newsletter 18th December 2014
New 3PL customer report; FedEx buys GENCO; Supply chain risk management
This is the last eft newsletter of 2014, and one which is full of gifts of the supply chain information variety.
Firstly, we have published the results from the latest survey of 3PL providers and customers. It is a draft document that we wanted to share before the holiday season, in the new year we will be refining the graphs and figures and adding more yearly comparisons, but there is some really interesting data in there for you to read now.
Last week I was in Venlo in the Netherlands finalising an agreement to bring the European 3PL Summit to that city for 2015, which we are very excited about. It may not be the biggest city in Europe, but in the supply chain space it is one of the most important in terms of its location.
Plus we have updates on innovation, supply chain risk management, EDI and the news that FedEx has purchased GENCO, primarily for its e-commerce expertise….an interesting move.
Kind Regards,
Chris Saynor
CEO, eft
