eft and Prologis Research Reveals Top 10 Logistics Locations in Europe

eft and Prologis have partnered again to determine Europe’s top ten most desirable logistics locations according to the European supply chain and logistics industry.

Building on the initial research conducted in 2013, eft surveyed more than 170 occupiers of European logistics property from a variety of sectors, ranging from retail to automotive to pharmaceuticals to hi-tech & electronics, who all ranked 100 distribution locations by the following criteria:

  • Proximity to customers and suppliers
  • Availability of labour and the flexibility of government
  • Availability of land/existing warehouses and real estate costs
  • Quality and proximity to infrastructure, including economic networks and strategic transportation access

A full, detailed report and summary of the survey is in production now and will be released by eft and Prologis early 2016. The report will highlight the key trends, the top 10 locations, and theorise on changes.

“When eft and Prologis conducted the original survey In 2013, Venlo topped the list of most desirable logistics locations. I am pleased to announce, that in 2015, Venlo not only topped the list again, but actually increased its lead as Europe’s most desirable logistics location.  This is huge news, and one of the major reasons why eft’s Annual 3PL Summit & CSCO Forum will be returning to De Maaspoort in Venlo in 2016 (10th-12th October).” Says Toby Spencer, VP of eft.
