Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS), ground handler and in-flight caterer at Singapore Changi Airport, has gained certification in Cargo 2000's quality standards
As part of the audit, SATS had to convince the assessors that it has a proven Quality Management System and an information system in place to track relevant import and export cargo processes and performance data to satisfy the requirements of Cargo 2000
SATS also had to demonstrate its commitment and readiness to provide a monthly Management Report to Cargo 2000 as part of the quality measurement and reporting process
The Cargo division of SATS provides cargo, mail, express and courier services to 43 scheduled and ad hoc airlines operating at Singapore Changi Airport It also offers cargo services to more than 200 international and local freight forwarders
SATS' airfreight terminal buildings and Express & Courier Centre can handle more than 19 million tonnes of cargo a year
