Designed for the extreme requirements of the healthcare and hi-tech industry, the Envirotainer RAP e2 container is the latest addition to the fleet of active temperature-controlled containers, and features electrical heating and compressor cooling functionality tomaintain strict temperature control in the toughest environments
As an LD-9 sized container that can accommodate five Euro or four US palettes, the new container ensures seamless handling of large volume shipments throughout the supply chain with its forkliftable base and completely redesigned container shell built in all composite material
The RAP e2 container maintains product temperature in the +2°C to +8 °C range, controlled room temperature (+15°C to +25 °C) range or at any chosen temperature between 0°C and +25°C in ambient temperatures from -25°C up to +50°C depending on the set temperature
Envirotainer has been working closely with shippers and airlines to qualify the container, set up shipping routes and actively start shipping within the coming weeks
RAP e2 containers will be gradually added to the fleet starting in September 2010
