NDRC approves Cathay Pacific – Air China cargo JV
China's National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC) has approved the formation of an air cargo joint venture between Cathay Pacific and Air China
The two airlines signed a framework agreement for the JV in February, with Air China holding a 51% stake and Cathay Pacific 49%
Pending the successful outcome of the anti-trust investigations of China's Ministry of Commerce, the JV - Air China Cargo - is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of this year
