Chennai, a major market on India's east coast, is positioned for future growth The SMX route will draw on MOL's full-scale network to offer a range of both inbound and outbound service to meet rising demand in this region
MOL will continue to offer high-quality services to India's growing markets, along with its current India West Coast NKX service
The SMX service will call at Laem Chabang (Tue, Wed) > Singapore (Fri, Sat) > Port Kelang (Sun, Mon) > Chennai (Fri, Sat) > Penang (Wed, Thur) > Port Kelang (Thur, Fri) > Singapore (Sat, Sun) > Laem Chabang
MOL has also announced service changes in its Japan - USWC and Canada service, with joint operation by MOL and K-Line
Starting on April 7th, the JAS service will be a shuttle service between Japan and Los Angeles/Oakland with five ships It will provide faster transit times from Los Angeles/Oakland to Japan, while shifting calls at Tacoma and Vancouver to a new PN1 service
The Pacific Northwest 1 (PN1) service will directly connect China, Taiwan and Japan to ports in the Pacific Northwest with six ships This includes a new direct link between Xiamen, Nagoya and the Pacific Northwest for MOL
JAS service:
· Three ships operated by MOL, 2 by K-Line
· Port rotation: Kobe (Tue/Wed) > Nagoya (Thu/Thu) > Shimizu (Fri/Fri) > Tokyo (Sat/Sat) > Los Angeles (Tue/Sun) > Oakland (Tue/Wed) > Tokyo (Mon/Mon) > Kobe (Tue)
PN1 service:
· One ship operated by MOL, five by K-Line
This change is subject to regulatory fillings and approvals as necessary
