Eurotunnel celebrates 15 millionth truck crossing

On 27 January, Eurotunnel carried its fifteen millionth truck since Cross Channel services began fifteen years ago

The Geodis truck was transported on board a shuttle travelling between Coquelles and Folkestone

Eurotunnel operates fifteen electrically-poweredshuttles dedicated to heavy goods vehicles These circulate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

Eurotunnel Truck Shuttles cross the Channel almost 60,000 times, an average of 165 times a day or up to 7 times an hour

This considerable flow - on average a million trucks a year - makes Eurotunnel the world leader in piggyback transport

Geodis belongs to the Club for Sustainable Development in cross-Channel Freight Haulage This brings together the major users of Eurotunnel Truck Shuttles for whom carbon emissions reduction is a key priority
