To compliment TDG's successful expansion into Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) with the establishment of operations in Hungary last year, TDG recently acquired Hungary-based RRS Logistics
TDG is now able to offer new and existing customers the full range of TDG logistics solutions from international freight, domestic warehousing and transport to added value services In addition the RRS model gives TDG a platform from which to accelerate growth in the CEE region
Established in late-2007, RSS has experienced rapid growth by delivering highly flexible and customer focused transport solutions Working with a series of specially selected local transport companies, RRS provides transport solutions on a 4PL basis
RRS currently manages, plans and executes an average on 200 vehicle routes and handles 4,500 pallet equivalents per day
Kevin Richardson, TDG's strategic development director, said that the acquisition both extends TDG's current 4PL capability into a new geography and complements its current operations in the region
Operating as part of TDG's International Services business unit, RRS will be part of TDG Logistics kft and will concentrate on both expanding its current base and extending its services that now include full end-to-end capability
