A brief analysis of eyefortransport’s recent survey

The report is based on the responses of senior retail executives and results concentrate on the retail sector’s expected performance, supply chain priorities and concerns, planned investment in supply chain technology and perspectives on supply chain horizontal collaboration.

Key Findings Include:

• Retail executives in 2012 appear more positive with regard to retail sector growth than they did last year, with 57% anticipating growth of some kind; a 20% increase since 2011.
• For the 2nd year in a row, lowering supply chain costs as well as concerns over waning demand are at the top of retail supply chain executives’ concerns.
• 2012 has seen expansion of multichannel capabilities grow in importance, with 43% of respondents now considering it a top priority.
