IdleAire - the US company that provided heating, cooling, electrical outlets and communications at truck stops, has ceased operations effective January 29th

With 131 locations in 34 states, IdelAire provided filtered heating and air conditioning, electrical outlets, and a range of communications and entertainment options that enabled long-haul truck drivers to shut down their engines instead of idling during daily rest periods

With more than 150,000 professional drivers and more than 1,000 fleets actively using IdleAire services, the company contributed to saving more than fifty million gallons of diesel fuel, and prevented more than one billion pounds of diesel idling emissions and half a million metric tons of CO₂ from entering the atmosphere
