Recent key appointments

New appointments were recently announced by Four Soft, Dachser, CEVA, FedEx, Geodis Wilson, Agility and Damco

Four Soft (4S) has appointed Tim Sensenig as executive vice president for global sales & business development Sensenig is the former co-founder and vice chairman of G-log, the global 3PL that was acquired by Oracle

Dachser Food Logistics' managing director Gerhard Riester is due to retire on March 31st next year, after 47 years with the company Alfred Miller, who has managed the Gersthofen branch for the past ten years, will succeed Riester on April 1st

CEVA Logistics has appointed Christian Vogt as the new country manager for CEVA in Austria, based in Guntramsdorf, Vienna Vogt most recently headed the Business Process Optimisation division at DHL Exel Supply Chain in Germany Prior to that he was managing director of DHL Solutions Austria

CEVA has also announced a number of changes to its organisation structure in Chile:

Alberto Balsamo has been appointed the new country manager in Chile Balsamo has more than fifteen year's managerial experience in various sectors throughout Chile and Argentina, including operations manager at Danone and operations & business development director at Ryder

Balsamo succeeds Mauricio Galindo, who becomes the multi country Latin area (MCLA) sales & business development manager He will be based in Miami, although the MCLA covers Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Central America Galindo has worked for CEVA since 2001

FedEx has appointed William Logue as president of FedEx Freight, effective December 1st and CEO effective March 1st Logue joined FedEx Express in 1989, and currently serves as executive vice president and chief operating officer of FedEx Express US In his new position, Logue will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of FedEx Freight, FedEx National LTL and FedEx Custom Critical

Logue will succeed Douglas Duncan, who is retiring from his post as president & chief executive officer at end-February

Geodis Wilson has appointed Mathieu Renard Biron as regional vice president for Asia Pacific Mathieu has spent almost twenty years based in the Asia Pacific area, most of them working for the Geodis Group He began his career in 1991 as a sales executive for Geodis Thailand, moving on to become area director for Thailand and the Greater Mekong Area in 1997, and returned to the company in 2006 after a five-year break as regional director for South Asia

Agility Europe has appointed Joerg Roehl as the new senior vice president of business development Roehl joins Agility from the Geis/SDV Group, where he held various positions, most recently senior vice president of sales & marketing Germany His twenty years of experience within the logistics industry includes nine years in Asia, first with for Kuehne & Nagel and later with Geis

Damco has appointed Anne Marcotty as chief commercial officer for its North Asia operations Ms Marcotty will be based in Hong Kong with overall responsibility for business development in the North Asia region
