Dachser Food Logistics' managing director Gerhard Riester is due to retire on March 31st next year, after 47 years with the company Alfred Miller, who has managed the Gersthofen branch for the past ten years, will succeed Riester on April 1st
CEVA Logistics has appointed Christian Vogt as the new country manager for CEVA in Austria, based in Guntramsdorf, Vienna Vogt most recently headed the Business Process Optimisation division at DHL Exel Supply Chain in Germany Prior to that he was managing director of DHL Solutions Austria

Balsamo succeeds Mauricio Galindo, who becomes the multi country Latin area (MCLA) sales & business development manager He will be based in Miami, although the MCLA covers Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Central America Galindo has worked for CEVA since 2001
FedEx has appointed William Logue as president of FedEx Freight, effective December 1st and CEO effective March 1st Logue joined FedEx Express in 1989, and currently serves as executive vice president and chief operating officer of FedEx Express US In his new position, Logue will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of FedEx Freight, FedEx National LTL and FedEx Custom Critical
Logue will succeed Douglas Duncan, who is retiring from his post as president & chief executive officer at end-February
Geodis Wilson has appointed Mathieu Renard Biron as regional vice president for Asia Pacific Mathieu has spent almost twenty years based in the Asia Pacific area, most of them working for the Geodis Group He began his career in 1991 as a sales executive for Geodis Thailand, moving on to become area director for Thailand and the Greater Mekong Area in 1997, and returned to the company in 2006 after a five-year break as regional director for South Asia
