Kuehne + Nagel to manage logistics centre for Audi VW in Korea
Audi Volkswagen recently entered into a strategic partnership with Kuehne + Nagel for its warehouse management and parts distribution in Korea
Under the three-year service contract, Kuehne + Nagel will handle Audi Volkswagen spare parts for the Korean aftermarket, including receiving, picking & packing, handling of dangerous goods, shipping and national distribution to Audi Volkswagen dealers throughout the country
In April, the two companies laid the foundation stone for a new build-to-suit warehouse near the Incheon seaport
The facility, which is scheduled to be fully operational by September 2009, is located north-west of Seoul and 40km south of Incheon International Airport
The logistics centre will provide Audi Volkswagen with 4,500 m2 of dedicated warehouse space for 22,000 SKUs, and the potential to expand by another 2,000 m2
