FedEx Express boosts services for Eastern China to Europe exports

FedEx Express has announced later pick-ups for all FedEx international low-value shipmentsbound for major cities in Europe from Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Shaoxing

Customers in select areas of these five cities have an extra two hours to prepare their shipments

This service enhancement is a part of an ongoing focus by FedEx to strengthen its connection between China and Europe - which accounts for 20% of China's total overseas shipments and is China's fastest growing export market

FedEx has dramatically enhanced its services between China and Europe in response to customer demand Enhancements include the launch of the express air cargo industry's first express direct flight from mainland China to Europe in March 2005, and the opening of FedEx's Asia Pacific hub in Guangzhou in February 2009
