Deutsche Post World Net's ex-CEO, Klaus Zumwinkel was convicted on charges of tax evasion in a German court yesterday

Zumwinkel received a two-year suspended sentence and a €1 million fine

According to AFP, while Zumwinkel's full confession had mitigated his sentence, opposition politicians were unimpressed, saying the executive had "got of lightly", considering he earns €600,000 a year from his pension, and has a €5 million lakeside chateau in Italy and investments worth €8 million
