DHL Express opens new facility at Bandaranayake International Airport

DHL Express Sri Lanka has opened its new airside gateway facility inside the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake - Terminal 3

With an investment of US$374,000, the new 15,000 sqft facility promises to provide faster clearance and seamless handling of inbound and outbound international consignments, ie throughput times of 60 minutes on import consignments and another 30 minutes on export consignments

The facility is also scaled to accommodate future growth over the next five years

The facility is fully equipped with CCTV, CIA imaging, material handling equipment, radio frequency scanners, customised racking system, electronic data interface, 24 hour in-house customs and security screening
