Reinhard Lange Joins Lanetix Board of Directors

With new board member, Lanetix deepens its logistics expertise

Lanetix, the San Francisco-based leader in cloud-based CRM and workflow solutions for the transportation and logistics industry, announced today at EFT's 3PL Summit & Chief Supply Chain Officer Forum that industry veteran Reinhard Lange will join the company’s board of directors.

Lange is a highly accomplished industry veteran, with an impressive 40+ year career at Kuehne + Nagel Group. As CEO of Kuehne + Nagel International AG, he led the company to become one of the most successful logistics companies in the world.

Kuehne + Nagel, with approximately 63,000 employees at more than 1000 locations in over 100 countries, is one of the world's leading logistics companies. In 2011, Lange was named Manager of the Year by the German trade magazine DVZ (Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung) for his “entrepreneurial spirit” and “thorough industry knowledge,” according to a statement released at the time.

Lange’s decision to join the board is a testament to the value provided by Lanetix’s cloud-based CRM and workflow system for transportation and logistics. It also ensures that future product development will benefit from the insight and expertise of a key industry leader.

“I am delighted to join the board at Lanetix and look forward to playing an active role in developing products for the logistics industry,” Lange said (click here for a video). “Lanetix has shown a commitment to solving some of our industry’s most pressing problems, and I look forward to its continued success.”

Lanetix’s solution addresses a key pain point within the industry: the need for a user-friendly customer relationship management system that leverages mobile devices, tablets and social media to provide global visibility to commercial leaders.

“The logistics and transportation industry is global and highly complex,” said John Golob, CEO and co-founder of Lanetix. “Our industry-specific solution enables business development teams, operations managers, solutions and product groups around the world to collaborate and take action on customer-related information—all within an intuitive user interface.”

Lanetix, a Salesforce.com partner, sells a suite of sales productivity apps which run on Salesforce1, the industry-leading Platform as a Service (PaaS). While traditional CRM software can be costly and difficult to customize, Lanetix’s focus adds value to a changing industry, equipping companies to compete globally and in real-time—as current clients, such as global 3PL leader Neovia (formerly Caterpillar Logistics), can attest.
