Campbell Soup Supply Chain Interview; Electronics Supply Chain Report; M&A activity; Charity Request

This week we are giving you a new report and survey data on the latest hi-tech/electronics supply chain trends. There is also an interesting Q&A with Campbell Soup conducted by Lora Cecere, plus some analysis of the latest M&A activity, some thoughts on TMS and the first article from Ralitsa Golemanova about 'Alternative Fuels'.

On a completely unrelated note. I wanted to inform you of an amazing charity challenge that a number of us at eft are undertaking and obviously ask for your support. Myself, Toby Spencer, Ross Ingram, Ricky Li and Magali Mathieu will be undertaking a 105 mile journey across Scotland by bike, kayak and foot. We will be running over 21 miles and cycling for over 80 miles, much of it off-road and very hilly, as well as kayaking a few miles across Loch Ness. This will all be achieved in 2 days (although as I’m a masochist I’ll be personally doing it in just one day).

The charity we are raising money for is called the Serious Fun Network and was founded by the late actor Paul Newman. I am currently a member of the UK Board of the charity. The charity provides residential summer camps for seriously ill children and is an amazing cause. We were lucky to raise $10,000 in 2012 at the 3PL Summit in Chicago for the charity and look forward to helping them again. If you are interested in supporting us then you can donate at my fundraising page here. We are hoping as a company to raise $25,000/£16,000 in total which would allow 10 seriously ill children to enjoy camp for a week.

Kind Regards,

Chris Saynor
