Cupid's Supply Chain Arrow; New Logistics CIO Report; Commoditization of Logistics

As it is Valentine’s Day tomorrow, our gift to you is a bouquet full of supply chain content. There are some interesting short videos from the European Head of APL Logistics about diversity in the workplace and commoditization of logistics services and a re-cap of the relatively recent European 3PL Summit and CSCO Forum.

eft have published another complimentary report in conjunction with HP, looking at the use of IT in the logistics industry. One of the interesting take-aways from the report is that logistics industry CIOs see that technology innovation is just as important, if not more of a priority than the day-to-day core activities they are responsible for – although nearly 20% did not think this, which is maybe more of the surprising statistic.
